At the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Honda has unveiled its K20C1 crate engine. The engine is the same unit that powers the new Honda Civic Type R, rated at 306bhp and 400Nm of torque, which lapped the legendary Nurburgring in just 7 minutes and 43.8 seconds.
The K20C1 crate engine is priced at US$6,519.87 (S$8,872.24), but it won't be readily available for purchase to everyone. Instead, it is presently only available in support of grassroots and professional racers who are members of the Honda Racing Line programme, through which the engine can be ordered.
