Honda CRZ wins Japan Car of the Year, spawns special edition

Honda's CRZ hybrid-sports coupe is attempting to be all-things to all-men. On the one hand, it's an eco-friendly little hybrid. On the other, it's a sporty 2-door, with racy looks & eager handling.

While the CRZ is far from a true-performer, it does manage to add a bit of…cheese & dressing. To what would otherwise be just a boring green salad.

So think of the CRZ as a Prius…for interesting people.

And, to celebrate the car's win as Japan Car of the Year, Honda is building a special edition CRZ for its home market.

This limited edition model comes in a striking shade of blue, and features unique 16-inch wheels & metal pedal pads. But sadly, no performance upgrades have been done.

However, you do get a nice "Japan Car of the Year" sticker on the rear quarter glass!
