Honda delivers special Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition to sweepstakes winner

Honda has delivered the keys for the very first U.S.A 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition, with serial plate number 001 to Utah native, Zander L., winner of the Honda Civic Type R Omaze sweepstakes.

As part of the sweepstakes grand prize, the winner also was awarded a once-in-a-lifetime racetrack experience with Honda IndyCar Driver, Colton Herta.

The sweepstakes were held to raise over $673,000 to support the U.S.A Thurgood Marshall College Fund in the form of grants from Charities Aid Foundation America. The grants will benefit a wide range of programmes supporting historically black colleges and universities as well as their students.

The 2021 Phoenix Yellow Limited Edition Civic Type R with serial plate 001 is the very first of only 600 Limited Edition models to be sold in the U.S.A. It is the latest version of Honda's pinnacle Civic Type R, which continues to impress enthusiasts around the globe.

The 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition features various engineering and feature changes to maximise its performance without sacrificing the performance and daily-driving manners of the high-performance Type R.
