Honda to take on Rebelle Rally with three TrailSport SUVs

Honda has unveiled its trio of TrailSport SUVs set to compete in the 2023 Rebelle Rally.
The trio comprises of two 2024 Pilot TrailSports and a refreshed 2024 Passport TrailSport, all of which are set to be piloted by Automotive Journalists and Honda Associates.
These first team, comprising of Honda associates Liz Long - a chassis reliability test engineer at the Honda Auto Development Centre in Ohio, and Hillary Tate, a project administrator of design and construction for Honda facilities across North America. The duo will drive a race prepared Honda Pilot TrailSport in the competition's 'X-Cross' category. Their car gets custom-fabricated steel bumpers and Maxxis RAZR AT tyres for improved traction in all conditions.
A 2024 Honda Passport TrailSport will also compete in the 'X-Cross' category, showcasing the performance of the model's new off-road tuned suspension with increased articulation. This car will be piloted by Honda Performance Development IndyCar trackside engineers and Rebelle rookies Serena Halterman and Nicole Rotondo. This car comes with custom-fabricated steel skid plates, front recovery points and Maxxis RAZR AT tyres.
The final car - a 2024 Pilot TrailSport - competes in the 'Bone Stock' category, also reciving Maxxis RAZR AT tyres for improved off-road traction. This car will be piloted by Automotive Journalist Mercedes Lilienthal and her teammate, Emily Winslow.
The cars come in a special Rebelle Rally exterior wrap that utilises vivid colours inspired by a comic book 'pop art' style designed by Honda exterior Designer Lili Melikian of the Honda Design Studio in Torrance, California. The bold exterior graphics also showcase a unique terrain on each vehicle, complete with dust, water and rocks, all flying off the wheels, highlighting the TrainSport's rugged capability in the torturous landscapes that they will encounter in the week-long off-road competition.
