Infiniti has not revealed details about the car’s performance figures, but the pictures show that the FX50 Performance Concept is based on the recently facelifted FX crossover, featuring Infiniti’s new corporate grille. The concept also gets a unique redesigned front bumper with LED daytime lights incorporating a carbon fibre apron, the shape of which mimics the design of an F1 car's front wing.
Carbon fibre is also used on the newly designed side skirts, the roof spoiler, and the rear bumper, while Infiniti removed the roof rails on the car. There are also Vettel badges throughout the car, as well as new-style alloy wheels fitted with performance tyres.
Vettel, who was appointed as Infiniti’s Global Brand Ambassador earlier this year, is said to have helped with the design of the FX50 Performance Concept. The car marks another progression in the partnership between Infiniti and the reigning Formula One champions, the Red Bull Racing team.
