Among the enhancements to the IPL G Coupe is a body kit which includes modified bumpers, aggressive sculpted side sills, a rear spoiler, chrome exhaust tips, and exclusive 19-inch seven-spoke graphite-finish wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE50A performance tires. Two body colours will be available, Graphite Shadow or Malbec Black.
Inside, the IPL G Coupe has a choice of two colour schemes, Graphite or Monaco Red, with the latter only available with the Malbec Black exterior and 7-speed automatic transmission. Other extras include red-stitched leather-appointed front sport seats with manual thigh extension and driver's power torso and thigh support adjustment, red-stitched steering wheel, Silk Obi aluminium trim, and aluminium pedals and footrest.
Performance wise, the IPL G Coupe is powered by a 3.7-litre V6 engine that produces 348bhp and 374Nm of torque, an increase of 18bhp and 8Nm over the standard G Coupe. The power increase is thanks to a high-flow exhaust and a revised ECU. Transmission options include a six-speed manual gearbox, or a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
Other performance tweaks include a sport suspension, springs that are 20% stiffer in front and 10% stiffer at the rear, new shocks, a high performance braking system with aluminium-alloy opposed callipers, a sportier-tuned steering wheel system, and a Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (VSLD).
According to Infiniti Vice President Ben Poore, "When you drive the IPL G Coupe, the first thing you notice is the surge in sound and acceleration feel. The inspiring swell of sound is in complete harmony with the acceleration feel as engine speed increases."
