Infiniti reveals new Vision Qe concept

Infiniti has revealed its Vision Qe concept, said to offer all a preview into the brand's electrified future.

Revealed at an event alongside Tokyo Bay, the concept is said to set the tone for the brand’s first all-electric sedan. The concept is said to be inspired by Japanese philosophies, which include 'Kabuku' - a sense of the extraordinary - that has informed its distinctive design.

The concept also gets its sculpted body from the philosophy of 'Sho' - a sense of speed, dynamism and movement, while 'Sui' - representing sophistication and purity - informs the concept's embedded exquisite details.

You'll notice first on the Vision Qe concept the firm’s signature double-arched grille, now reimagined for the electric era as illuminated and sculpted lines within the car’s front fascia.

This new front also houses an illuminated iteration of the brand's new three-dimensional emblem, as well as the brand’s Digital Piano lighting signature, employed for both the head lights and taillights.

Further back, the Infiniti Vision Qe concept makes use of a single fluid stoke to define its upper section, giving it an aerodynamic fastback profile chosen to exude a sense of graceful motion.

Aiding to develop muscularity here is the use of strong surfacing for the concept's fenders - Infiniti states that these have been employed to hint at the engaging all-electric drive that the future production version of the car will deliver.

This hint is also repeated on the concept's rims, which feature a geometric pattern inspired by the tightly wound coil of an electric motor.
