Jaguar unveils potent feline in Los Angeles

The F-Type Coupe was recently unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show, faithfully lifting the stunning design of the Jaguar C-X16 concept that debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show to production guise.

Available in three versions, the range topping F-Type R - taking centre stage in the above video - is powered by a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 powertrain that, at your command, can unleash 542bhp and 680Nm of torque. It hurtles to the century mark in a brisk 4.0 seconds, before climbing to a governed top speed of a reputable 299km/h.
