Kia reveals more of its GT4 stinger concept ahead of Detroit debut

The GT4 Stinger concept car from Kia is all set for debut at the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit and Kia has unveiled more technical details on the concept. Based on the first teaser image, the GT4 Stinger adorns the latest form of the 'Tiger Nose' grille, resting mere inches from the asphalt.
Beneath the bonnet resides a tuned version of Kia's proven four-cylinder 2.0-litre turbocharged gasoline power unit rated at 315bhp. Transferring the power to the 275/35R20 Pirelli P-Zero rear wheels is a close ratio six-speed manual transmission.
Custom 20-inch aluminium central locking wheels feature carbon fibre inserts for strength and weight reduction. Stopping power is provided by Brembo Gran Tourismo two piece cross-drilled rotors with four-piston callipers. Underpinning the GT4 Stinger is a custom chassis with an independent double wishbone suspension.
The car is penned at Kia's design centre in California with full details are to be revealed at the auto show next week.
