Lamborghini Egoista Concept is the love child of the Veneno and Sesto Elemento

After looking at the gallery for a little less than 15 minutes, we have no other way of putting this - that is one ugly car. And despite the super high tech and space age interior - with only one seat - it is also selfish. Even hypercars like McLaren F1, Koenigsegg, Pagani and Bugatti can seat two - or three - in the case of the F1.

"This is a car made for one person only, to allow them to have fun and express their personality to the maximum. It is designed purely for hyper-sophisticated people who want only the most extreme and special things in the world. It represents hedonism taken to the extreme, it is a car without compromises, in a word: egoista (selfish)," explained De Silva.
Like Tony Stark and his Iron Man suits, the cockpit is designed for the driver and is a removable section which, once combined with the rest of the vehicle, creates a perfect technical, mechanical and aerodynamic unit.
The inspiration for this vehicle comes from the Apache helicopter but, unlike the helicopter, the cockpit can be ejected in an emergency. The cockpit is engineered from carbon fibre and aluminum and allows the driver to isolate and protect themselves from external elements. Like the rest of the vehicle, the futuristic interior design is largely inspired from jet aircrafts.
The upper part of the vehicle contain flaps that are integrated in the bodywork which deploy automatically depending on the driving conditions. Two rear flaps activate automatically at high speeds to increase stability, while a series of air intakes on the back of the engine hood provides the cooling air flow to the engine.
The body is made from a special antiradar material, and the glass is anti-glare with an orange gradation. The rims are also made from antiradar material, flat and rough, embellished with carbon fibre plates to improve their aerodynamics.
The Egoista overcomes its looks with performance thanks to a 5.2-litre V10 with 600bhp.

Penned by Walter de Silva who is Head of Volkswagen Group Design, the concept was unveiled amidst the presence of a thousand invitees at the culmination of the gala celebrating Lamborghini's 50th anniversary.
