Land Rover donates 1 millionth Range Rover to local charity

Land Rover just produced its 1,000,000^th Range Rover since 1970. It was a top-of-the-line Range Rover Sport Autobiography, finished in ultimate black.

The truck was built at JLR's Solihull Plant in England. And as it happens, the 1 millionth truck just happened to be built during the 40^th anniversary year of Range Rover.

To celebrate, the truck was driven from Solihull to London by LR's Managing Director Phil Popham, followed by a convoy of classic Range Rovers.

Their destination was Earls Court in London, where Top Gear Live was being filmed.

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson took delivery of the 1 millionth Range Rover on behalf of Help for Heroes. A local charity which helps wounded British soldiers, and their families. Clarkson is a patron of the organization.

The special RR will be auctioned off later this year. With proceeds going to Help for Heroes.
