LTA launches SimplyGo pilot for EZ-Link cards

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has launched a pilot to expand the use of SimplyGo to include adult EZ-Link CePAS cards, beyond Mastercard, Visa and NETS Tap contactless cards. Currently, over 300,000 daily public transport trips are paid for using SimplyGo.
The pilot is designed to gain insights into potential user experience improvements, before all adult EZ-Link cards can be upgraded for cardholders to enjoy the full range of benefits of transacting digitally. Commuters will also be able to purchase upgraded EZ-Link cards next year.
Commuters using the upgraded EZ-Link cards will be able to enjoy benefits including easy access their travel history and fare charges, as well as the ability to submit fare refund requests or claims on the TL SimplyGo app.
They will also be able to use the EZ-Link mobile app to add value to their cards and another user's card, such as a family member, eliminating the need to make physical trips to ticketing machines or TransitLink Ticket Offices.
More than 2,000 registered EZ-Link mobile app users have already been invited to participate in the pilot.
Other commuters who are interested to take part can indicate their interest here. Those shortlisted for the pilot trial will be provided with an upgraded EZ-Link Card at no extra charge during the trial.
