The Neora EV is a plug-in electric hybrid front-wheel-drive four-door sedan that is powered by an electric motor that produces 241bhp. Luxgen says that the car weighs 1,600kg, and is able to go from 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 250km/h. The car’s electric motor derives its power through a 48 kWh lithium-ion battery set, which is said to offer a driving range of around 400 kilometres.
“[The] Neora perfectly represents LUXGEN’s brand spirit of Think Ahead, and the new form of appearance will be the design cues for LUXGEN’s upcoming models in the future,” said the company’s Vice President, James Shyr. “Its streamline flow, and the innovation of lightweight, as well as fuel economy, represent the novelty of LUXGEN’s energy saving future technologies,” he added.
The Neora is an all-electric sedan concept from the Taiwanese firm that is being showcased at the Shanghai Motor Show, and the project is meant to demonstrate Luxgen’s technological prowess, as well as preview the carmaker’s future design direction.
