Car roadshows are typically held in shopping malls because they tend to have large crowds on weekends. Maxus, however, had a more targeted approach when it brought the MIFA 9 MPV to the Into the Woods cafe in Seletar, putting it closer to its intended buyers.
With seven seats and a long list of standard safety features and premium amenities, the MIFA 9 suits both families and corporate users alike. Said features include captain's chairs with extendable footrests and massage functions in the second row, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera system to help when turning.
Visitors to the pop-up roadshow checked out the MIFA 9's features, as well as its interior accommodations
To attract customers, Maxus gave a free brunch set to anyone who signed up to test drive the car, along with a further 15% discount off their food bill at Into the Woods.
The promotion seemed to work. When Sgcarmart visited the cafe last Sunday, we saw families checking out the MIFA 9 and going for drives around the neighbourhood. One potential client supposedly even drove the MPV to his residence, to see if it would fit in his car porch/driveway.
He must have liked the MIFA 9's performance, too. Powered by a 90kWh lithium-ion battery, the electric motor delivers 241bhp and 350Nm of torque, figures that propel the 2.4-tonne MPV from rest to 100km/h in 9.2 seconds. It can travel up to 435km before needing to be recharged.
The MIFA 9 is currently available in two variants: Luxury and Premium, with the latter being even better equipped than the former. Prices start from $254,999 with COE.
