McLaren is now offering its customers a new range of options to further customise their vehicles, as part of the celebrations surrounding its 60th anniversary. The options will be available for the firm's series-production models.
The firm is now offering three new exterior paint colours, each one a tribute to the victorious cars that secured the Triple Crown (that is, victory at the Indianapolis 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the Monaco Grand Prix).
The first is Indy Orange, a solid colour that replicates and modernises the bright orange shade of the 1974 Indy 500 winning M16D. The firm is also now offering its cars in Monaco White, which takes inspiration from the predominantly white shade of the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix winning MP4/2. The final new colour option, Le Mans Grey, is a metallic finish that pays tribute to the victorious F1 GTR from the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. These new colours will be available for the GT, the Artura and the 750S.
McLaren is also now offering customers the option to combine these exterior colours with three painted exterior stripes that run up the centre of the bonnet and are repeated on the rear wing. This option is only available on the 750S models and will be limited to 60 orders. The stripes feature a McLaren Triple Crown logo at the front, while at the rear, each individual year of victory is featured.
Also now available are two new 60th anniversary brake calliper colours. The first is an Indy Blue, inspired by the Indianapolis 500 win and matching the blue of the '3' race number worn by the M16D. Customers will also be able to opt for Le Mans Gold callipers, which replicate the colour for the callipers fitted to the McLaren F1 GTR. These callipers colours are available for the 750S, GT, and Artura.
For those looking for a special touch in the interior of their McLarens, the firm is also now offering the option to get a painted steering wheel centre line marker, finished in Indy Orange, available for cars with the carbon fibre wheel specified. The steering wheel marker can be paired with new extended carbon fibre painted gearshift paddles, featuring stripes in the McLaren Triple Crown colours.
All cars ordered with any 60th Anniversary options will be fitted with a new, brushed aluminium bespoke dedication plaque, featuring a 60th Anniversary logo in McLaren Orange. The logo incorporates a '60' within the famous McLaren 'Speedy Kiwi', the badge worn by Bruce McLaren's racing cars.
The McLaren 60th Anniversary options will be available to order across McLaren's series-production cars for a year from November 2023.
