Mercedes-AMG details development of new twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8

Mercedes-AMG has released a video offering a behind the scenes look at the development of its new twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine.

The video outlines the rigorous testing that goes into every Mercedes-AMG engine, and takes you into the tuner's Affalterbach headquarters in Germany. The new engine, codenamed M178, will replace the outgoing 6.2-litre and 5.5-litre models, and will deliver a maximum of 503bhp presently.
