Mercedes-Benz SG launches EV charging concept

Mercedes-Benz's Singaporean customers - especially those with EVs and PHEVs - have reason to rejoice: The brand has introduced Mercedes me Charge, the first-of-its-kind EV charging service offering access to over 3,000 charging points across the country.
In collaboration with local charge point operators SP Group, Charge+, and Volt, the service provides operator-independent charging, automated payments, and a simplified user experience. With coverage of nearly half (49%) of all charging points islandwide, including an impressive 77% of all DC chargers, Mercedes me Charge enables customers to access partner charging points with a single account, eliminating the need for multiple subscriptions.

The service - available via the Mercedes-Benz App - is part of the Digital Extras suite, and offers an array of innovative features such as the Mercedes-Benz App Integration (which allows customers to scan the QR code at any charging station to start the process, as well as displaying the current state of charge and remotely stopping the charge), Transparent and Cashless Billing, and Pre-entry Climate Control (allowing customers to set their desired temperature in advance for increased comfort).
Additionally, the Digital Extras suite includes complimentary standard services such as Accident Recovery and breakdown management, maintenance management, and telediagnosis. Premium Digital Extras, ranging from comfort, security, entertainment, and navigation are available as on-demand features and subscription-only packages, providing options to suit the needs of every customer.
Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz is accelerating efforts to expand the Mercedes me Charge network in Singapore and the region. Through partnerships with additional charge point operators in collaboration with Hubject, the company is enhancing accessibility and reliability, aiming to enhance the electric mobility experience and support the broader adoption of EVs.
