MINI Coupe receives AC Schnitzer treatment

German tuner AC Schnitzer has released a tuning kit for MINI’s new Coupe, the first to do so on the market. The visual kit includes decal sets in various designs, new gear knob with digital display of the selected gear, aluminium pedal set and velour foot mats etc. New 4 twin-spokes, 18” Mi 1 rims are also offered in both silver and bicolour.  

The most extensive modification, however, is done to improve the driving characteristics of the car. Performance upgrades comprises of a new limited slip differential, new sports exhaust system with tailpipe in chrome-trimmed, and an upgraded braking system which sports 4-piston callipers.

On the options list are adjustable racing suspension, AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit, aluminium strut brace, and an anti-roll bar for the rear axle. The company has also revealed that an engine upgrade kit is currently in the pipeline, and will soon be available.
