MINI releases the John Cooper Works World Championship 50 Edition

Only 250 units of the special John Cooper Works World Championship 50 Edition will be built, with 100 cars allocated to the UK and another 50 bound for the US, and the remainder for the rest of Europe. The car is designed to mark the 50th anniversary of the Cooper Car Company winning the Formula One constructors championship.

The World Championship 50 Edition features exclusive Connaught Green paint, Pepper White stripes, an aerodynamic body kit, and black 17-inch alloy wheels, while the interior has leather upholstery, carbon fibre trim, red accent stitching on the floor mats, shifter and parking brake, plus John Cooper Works' signature on a dash-mounted plaque.

The MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50 Edition is powered by the same turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 200bhp and 260Nm of torque as the standard MINI Cooper John Cooper Works.
