New Audi R8 LMS GT3 deliveries have begun

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, the car has been designed specifically for Audi Sport customers, with testing throughout the developmental stage coming from both professionals and amateur drivers. The new car delivers better durability and reliability, as well as optimised aerodynamics and cooling that bring enhanced, more consistent handling and, ultimately, quicker lap times.

The 578bhp, naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine remains unchanged, but durability of the power transmission elements is a focal area. Moderate modifications of the overall concept and longer service intervals for the clutch and transmission mean more time on the race track.

The dramatic new fascia and splitter are designed to give more consistent, predictable downforce that simplifies airflow to the rear, improving heat evacuation properties for the brakes.
