According to a report by iMotor, a BMW spokesperson has confirmed that there will be no Z4M due to unfavourable economic conditions and also a lack of customer demand.
The report also mentioned that, however, there will be M Sport aesthetic packages available for the Z4.
While there may be no Z4M, rumours have been circulating that there could be an ECU upgrade offered, which will add 20 horsepower to the 3.0-litre twin turbo's output, giving the car a total of 326 hp.
On the bright side, the X5 and X6 M models will continue development as they apparently were "signed off before the bottom fell out of the car market."
