Nissan recalls Middle-Eastern versions of the Patrol

Nissan Middle East has issued a recall for 1,250 2010 Nissan Patrol's that it sold in Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. A separate recall is expected for the similar Infinity QX56.
This part of the world has a very lucrative market for luxury SUV's. With so many oil-rich Arab's needing to get from oil rig A to oil rig B, it's easy to see why.
According to Nissan ME, there's a problem with a circuit inside of the truck's Engine Control Unit. If it fails, the ECU won't work™and neither will the engine.
Nissan sold 427 of the effected Patrols in Dubai, and 823 in Abu Dhabi. Owners have been asked to return their trucks to the dealer, where they'll receive a new ECU at no cost.
