Novitec Rosso supercharges the Ferrari 599 GTB

The new package consists of a subtle styling kit for increased downforce, as well as some mild handling upgrades, and a supercharger kit for the 6.0-litre V12 engine. These new developments increase the car’s power output by 40bhp, up to 660bhp, without any major alterations to the main engine components.

The conversion consists of new engine electronics and a complete Novitec Rosso stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system. The new engine management system comprises new mapping for ignition and injection as well as increase in maximum engine speed to 8,550rpm.

Throttle response of the new supercharged engine is said to be sharper, with more power and torque available at lower revs. Top speed has also been increased to 335km/h.

There is also a new aero kit to go with the performance upgrades. A new front lip, side skirts with larger air intake openings, side flaps, a new rear wing and a bumper with an integrated diffuser are among the cosmetic additions, along with new 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear, mated to 355mm Pirelli P Zeros. Other changes to the 599 include a KW Automotive adjustable aluminium suspension kit, as well as 405 mm brake discs with Brembo six piston callipers.
