Owner of burnt Lamborghini given nod to sue others who caused the accident

In what seems to be a rare case, the owner of a Lamborghini was given the green light to sue drivers of two other Lamborghinis whom he believes have caused a chain accident, which left his car in ashes.
The High Court agreed with Mr. Michael Koh, and said on Wednesday that he could proceed with his court suit instead of waiting for insurers to settle the claim through a market agreement.
The accident took place along Malaysia's North-South Highway. Mr. Koh's son-in-law, Mr. Chua Zhi Rong, was driving his black Lamborghini Aventador at the front of a three-car convoy when it was involved in the December 2013 pile-up. Behind Mr. Chua was Mr. Edward Lee, with Mr. Bret Chia at the rear most - both in Lamborghini Gallardos. The cars were heading north and registered in Singapore.
Mr. Koh is suing the two men for negligence. If the court hearing goes ahead to decide liability, it is expected to ascertain the cause of the accident.
Justice Woo made it clear that to allow the court proceedings to continue did not mean the court was displacing the adjudication process between the insurance firms, and said, "Both the GIA adjudicators and the court proceedings would proceed concurrently".
