Porsche Engineering has established a new location in Beijing that extends and complements the competencies of the company at its other Chinese site located in Shanghai, which already has 130 employees already working on high-tech projects.
The new R&D office is located in Chaoyang District where other well-known automotive companies have also set up their offices.
Porsche claims that the demands of Chinese customers are becoming more specific, and have therefore carried out vehicle systems and development methods specifically to the unique characteristics of each country.
Porsche Engineering has therefore been active in China for more than 30 years and is looking to continue expanding its footprint in the country. The company also employs experts for highly automated driving, chassis, high-voltage systems, connected services and infotainment.
