Porsche to unveil new all-electric Macan here in Singapore

Porsche has announced that its new, all-electric Macan will make its premiere right here in Singapore come 25 January 2024 at 7:30pm Singapore time.

Porsche states that Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche, will offer insights into the design process of the car before its unveiling. Porsche isn't letting on when it comes to drivetrain details just yet, although the revealed sketches show the new Macan sporting head lights not dissimilar to those found on the Taycan.

Porsche also states that the use of an all-electric drivetrain has allowed it to enhance the distinctive shape of the Macan's bonnet, and that the new car now delivers a drag coefficient of 0.25 (the outgoing Macan has a Cd figure of 0.35).

The firm also states that the car will continue to be easily recognisable both as a Porsche and a Macan, even as it adopts a new all-electric drivetrain, so expect it to sport similar proportions to the outgoing SUV. However, Porsche does state that the car is set to get its design refined so it delivers a sportier and more dynamic exterior.
