Porsche's two 99X electric race cars received a new and exclusive livery design at the Seoul E-Prix on 13 August and 14 August 2022. The weekend marked the final round of the eighth season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The new design was created exclusively for the Formula E races in Seoul and unveiled at an event in the SJ Kunsthalle in the trendy district of Chengdam-dong.
Inspiration for the alluringly cool colour combination of the first luxury smartwatch from TAG Heuer and Porsche came from the frozen blue version of the all-electric Porsche Taycan. The graphic elements of the design reflect the pit boards, speed and progress and draw attention to the lights of Seoul - the captivating venue of the Formula E season finale.
The two Porsche 99X Electric race cars driven by Andre Lotterer (GER/#36) and Pascal Wehrlein (GER/#94) contested the Seoul E-Prix doubleheader event on 13 August and 14 August 2022 featuring the new design. Ultimately, the Tag Heuer Porsche team finished the season in seventh place, earning 134 points across 16 races.
