Range Rover gets new SV Bespoke commissioning service

Customers eyeing a new Range Rover will soon be able to customise their own luxury SUV, thanks to a new SV Bespoke commissioning service.

Available for the Range Rover Autobiography and Range Rover SV, the commissioning service will be available to clients at the SV Bespoke Commissioning Suite in the U.K., selected global retailers, as well as through an online and exclusive virtual service.

Here, customers will be guided through a what is described as a unique and comprehensive seven-step process that will see them picking colours, themes, SV exclusive options, materials, veneers and finishers, as well as various customisation options.

For now, a total of 391 material colourways are said to be available for the interior, while the curated SV Bespoke paint palette comprises more than 230 colours in satin and gloss finishes. If all this sounds like too much to choose from, a host of curated design combinations chosen by the Range Rover Design team are additionally available.

Or, you could always opt to go with the SV Bespoke Match to Sample paint service, which is said to be able to replicate any exterior colour request. The new exterior colours can also be matched with a range of precious metal finishes including 24ct gold for the Range Rover hood and tailgate script.

The Range Rover lineup is additionally being updated.

For the two plug-in hybrid options, the luxury SUV is now getting a 215bhp electric motor, so when combined with the 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, can now offer a total of 454bhp or 542bhp. The 4.4-litre V8 Range Rover, meanwhile, will be getting the benefit of mild hybrid technology.

But that's not all the new tech that the Range Rover is getting.

The Range Rover is now also receiving a new Country Road Assist technology, which will enhance passenger comfort by utilising navigation data to automatically adjust acceleration or deceleration when the adaptive cruise control is activated.

The car is also set to get Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control, which will aid drivers navigating tricky terrain by maintaining steady progress according to the ground conditions. The 13.1-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system will additionally be updated with new sidebars that house easy-to-use sliding controls for the volume and climate control.
