Renault F1 confirms Vitaly Petrov at launch of R30 Formula One car

The 25-year-old Russian, who was the runner-up in the GP2 championship in 2009, joins Robert Kubica as Renault’s two drivers for the 2010 Formula One season. Petrov is set to be Russia’s first ever Formula One driver.
The new Renault R30 Formula One car meanwhile, features a new yellow and black livery, with red rear wing endplates due to sponsors Total. "It reminds me of when I was a kid, watching Arnoux, Prost. It also sends out a clear message about Renault's commitment to formula one," said Eric Boullier, team principal of the newly Genii Capital-controlled team.
The new Renault R30 also features the long fin-like engine cover already seen on the new McLaren and Sauber Formula One cars, but otherwise the new R30 features little difference from the 2009 car.
Renault also announced at the launch that Jerome d’Ambrosio and Ho Pin Tung will be the new reserve drivers for 2010, and that former technical director Bob Bell has been appointed managing director. James Allison replaces Bell as technical director.
