Renault to introduce new in-car app for French customers

Renault has announced that, in collaboration with RMC BFM, it has launched a new app that will bring a wholly different in-car audio experience for its users: The RMC BFM Drive, heralded as the first AI-personalised in-car radio service.

This app is available for Renault vehicles with OpenR Link (which has Google built-in), and allows drivers to program their own radio content by choosing the length of the audio programme, select topics and podcast hosts of their own choosing, as well as their desired region in order to receive personalised local news.

Users are able to pick from a variety of topics and curate their own AI-personalised content

The app then creates a unique, open-ended audio session, automatically generated by AI and continuously updated to reflect the journey and the preferences selected.

The collaboration between Renault and RMC BFM Group illustrates the vision shared by the two brands: To develop intelligent, useful, and easy-to-use services that enhance the in-car experience without making it more complex.
