Scottish manufacturer Munro reveals its all-electric Mk_1 Pickup

Scottish electric 4x4 manufacturer Munro Vehicles (Munro) has revealed its Mk_1 Pickup.
The Mk_1 Pickup follows from the Munro Mk_1 Truck launched in December of 2022, but sports an easy-to-load rear bed, said to be able to accommodate a 1,050kg Euro pallet. Opt for the 'Performance' model and you'll also get a 3,500 maximum braked towing capacity for effortless hauling of cargo.
The Munro MK_1 Pickup has been designed to offer rugged reliability and be easy to repair. A full-time 4x4 mechanical drivetrain to provide uncompromising ability in all weather and terrain.
And this drivetrain will come powered by a single electric motor that delivers a total of 375bhp and 700Nm of torque, allowing the pickup to hit 96km/h from a standstill in 4.9 seconds. 'Utility' and 'Range' variants are also offered, equipped with a 295bhp electric motor.
The Munro MK_1 Pickup comes with a 75.2kWh (usable capacity) battery, that can be charged at speeds of up to 100kW via a direct current source. This battery will give the vehicle a range of more than 305km.
The Munro is claimed to be the first light vehicle to enter production in Scotland in more than four decades.
