Singaporean biker died after fatal accident on Malaysia's North-South Expressway

53-year old Mr. Esa Badri is presumed to have lost control of his Yamaha FJR1300 motorcycle at about 1:50am on Tuesday - near the town of Nilai, Negeri Sembilan - as he was negotiating a corner along the North-South Expressway Central Link, also known as Elite Expressway. 

A District Police Chief Superintendent told Malaysia's New Straits Times (NST) that early investigations revealed the motorcycle skidded to the left side of the road.

Mr. Esa died at the accident scene, and his body was sent to the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital for post-mortem. His wife Nurhayati Ashar, was seriously injured in the accident and was conveyed to Putrajaya Hospital.

The couple is believed to have been part of a convoy with five other friends and they were returning to Singapore from a holiday in Krabi, Thailand.

According to The Straits Times, the Malaysian police told NST the case is being investigated as death by reckless or dangerous driving.
