The Straits Times reported that a taxi, which was fulflling a booking job at a condominium along Upper Bukit Timah Road on Sunday morning, took an unexpected turn - straight into the condo's swimming pool.
Due to heavy rain, the cabby could not see clearly and made a wrong turn onto what he thought was the road leading to the lobby.
The driver escaped unhurt before police arrived on the scene after 5:30am. The taxi was later removed from the pool.
"We are relieved to learn that our cabby escaped unhurt and we will assist him the best we can. We will also be in touch with the condominium with regards to any damage that may have resulted," said ComfortDelGro spokesman Tammy Tan.
