The Abarth 595 range refreshed for 2021

The Abarth 595 range has been updated for 2021 with fresh interiors, a new colour palette and unique detailing across all four versions. The 595, Turismo, Competizione and Esseesse further underline the characteristics of the Abarth brand, with new technology and more customisation options than ever before.

Sport mode has been renamed 'Scorpion' mode throughout the new range. Activating 'Scorpion' mode alters peak torque delivery, power steering calibration and engine response to the accelerator pedal, making them sharper and increasing driver engagement. The 595 is also equipped with a high-performance braking system with 284mm front discs and 240mm rear discs.

Distinctive but accessible, the entry-level 595 offers as standard a flat-bottomed steering wheel, updated instrument panel, and a pressure gauge lit in white to ensure better legibility. The 595 Turismo features refreshed interiors, including exclusive diamond-embossed leather seats available in a number of colour options, including the new heritage brown.

For 2021, an all new colour, Rally Blue, is available for the Competizione, a matte colour inspired by the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally of the 1970s. New 17-inch alloy wheels are a nod to those of the 1990s Lancia Delta Rally Integrale, while a body colour bodykit is specific to the Competizione in combination with the new Rally Blue or Scorpione Black exterior paint.

Interior wise, a new dashboard covered in Alcantara can be found, alongside new leather seats and gear lever in carbon fibre. For the top-of-the-range version, the 595 Esseesse, the Abarth team developed new titanium tailpipes for the Akrapovic exhaust system to provide a distinctive sound.

The Abarth 595 range comes with the 1.4 T-jet engine, available in three output levels. The base 595 has 143bhp, rising to 162bhp on the Turismo, while the 595 Competizione and 595 Esseesse, at 177bhp, provide the highest performance output in the Abarth range.

The Esseesse is also equipped with a mechanical self-locking differential, which improves traction under difficult grip conditions and uneven terrain, Koni FSD shock absorbers and Brembo brakes with fixed aluminium calipers.

All variants of the 595 Abarth are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, with the option of an Abarth robotised sequential transmission with shift paddles available for the Turismo, Competizione and Esseesse.
