Remember the Ferrari Testa Rossa J?
The makers of the little hand-built junior car, The Little Car Company, have apparently decided to ditch charming and rather whimsical, to become rather serious.
And this, is the result. It's called the Pacco Gara Ferrari Testa Rossa J, and it's being built to celebrate the racing history of the Ferrari. 'Pacco Gara', Google translate informs us, is Italian for 'Race Pack'.
And as the name suggests, this special edition 75% scale reproduction of the legendary 250 Testa Rossa has received quite a fair bit of performance-oriented kit.
Those that want to get one to live out their Le Mans racer fantasies will be glad to note that the total output of the Pacco Gara Ferrari Testa Rossa J has been raised from 16bhp to 19bhp, thanks to a software upgrade.
That's not really enough to shrug off Sir Stirling Moss, although you will be able to imagine him approaching via that new single exterior mirror that has been added on the driver's side of this special edition junior car, just like on the original 250 Testa Rossa.
Also new here are additional features including the addition of adjustable dampers and brake bias, so you can tune the handling of your car just how you like it. These work with new drilled brake discs, and a quicker ratio steering rack, which should come in handy at Targa Florio.
The Pacco Gara Testa Rossa J also gets a host of upgrades including period-correct spotlights, and a removable roll cage to complete the car's vintage look. A Sabelt racing harness also now features in the cabin.
Protecting this cabin also is a new tonneau cover, available in either red or black, that covers the passenger side, and utilises the same leather that full-sized Ferraris utilise in their interiors.
The Pacco Gara Ferrari Testa Rossa J will be fully unveiled at the Concours of Elegance in St. Moritz this February. Should you get one? Or would you rather get the LEGO Ferrari Daytona SP3 Technic?
