The new Volkswagen Jetta gets even better
13 Mar 2015|10,769 views
The Jetta is one of the world's most successful sedans with over 14 million units sold since 1979. In fact, the sixth generation model has been among the top 10 most popular models in Singapore too, since its launch in 2011.

One step up is the Jetta Highline, which combines an upmarket 'Corn Silk Beige' interior with a host of desirable features including cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control and a multi-function steering wheel.
Those who would like to maximise their driving enjoyment can opt for the Jetta Sportline, which offers 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, sports suspension and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifts, together with 'Titan Black' leather upholstery. The Trendline, Highline and Sportline are all powered by a 122bhp TSI engine with a class-leading 200Nm of torque, mated to a silky smooth and lightning quick seven-speed DSG transmission.
At the top of the lineup is the Jetta Sport. This model comes with the multi-award winning 160bhp TSI Twincharger engine. Standard equipment on the Jetta Sport includes adaptive bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, Vienna leather upholstery and an electrically adjustable driver's seat.
In the Jetta's case, form isn't forgotten. Volkswagen has restyled the front and rear of the Jetta while improving its aerodynamic properties for 10 percent less air drag. At the front, the car can be immediately recognised by its redesigned radiator grille with three cross fins, optional bi-xenon headlights with cornering, turn signal and LED daytime driving lights as well as a new bumper.
One of the many strengths of the Jetta is its interior, which bridges over to the next higher class with its ample space, sophisticated look and extremely good ergonomics with intuitive controls. Elsewhere in the cabin, there are new accents for the centre console, elegant high-gloss black trim around the gear shift lever, new chrome trim around the Climatronic controls, redesigned controls for the air nozzles, and new designs for the seats and door trim.
The Volkswagen Jetta will be officially launched today.

A completely new lineup of Jetta versions will be made available to customers in Singapore. The Jetta Trendline represents the entry to the Jetta range but it remains comprehensively equipped, with features such as six airbags, Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) and 16-inch alloy wheels all coming as standard.
