The Nissan Qashqai takes to the U.K.'s skies

It's a bird… It's a plane… It's the Nissan Qashqai!
Those in London will be able to see a Nissan up in the sky as part of a new advertising campaign designed to mark the launch of the new crossover in the U.K.
A model of the U.K.-built crossover has been attached to the top of Truman Brewery's 49m-high chimney - a 200-year old London landmark situated in Brick Lane, Shoreditch. This fibreglass model is one and half times the size of a normal Qashqai and weighs a total of 750kg. Nissan states that it took a total of seven weeks, the assistance of two cranes, and close to 50 staff to lift the model into position before it was fixed in place.
The model is set to stay on the chimney until 22 September 2024. Nissan states that more than four million examples of the Qashqai have already been built at its Sunderland plant since production first started in 2006, with close to 140,000 examples of these powered by Nissan's e-POWER hybrid system since 2022.
