Toshiba Corporation has launched a new SCiB battery module that features an aluminium baseplate, helping to dissipate approximately twice the heat of current modules.
Designed for use in EV buses, electric ships, and stationary applications, Toshiba's SCiB rechargeable batteries are also widely used in hybrid vehicles and industrial applications like cranes and automate guided vehicles in logistics centres. In addition to battery packs and cells, Toshiba also offers battery modules that can be connected in series or in parallel connections to meet required voltages and capacities.
By adding new products to its module lineup, this allows Toshiba to respond flexibly to customer demands and application requirements. The brand will continue to offer products the leverage the unique features of its SCiB lithium-ion battery, while fully considering lifecycles costs from installation to maintenance and disposal.
