Toyota has relaunched the Land Cruiser 70 Series in Japan.
Originally launched in 1984, this updated model continues to sport the series' boxy silhouette and exterior design that emphasises its practical nature. This 70 Series Toyota Land Cruiser measures in at 4,890mm long, 1,870mm wide, and 1,920mm tall. Fans of the series will also note that the car continues to sport a fender-mounted mirror.
Under this sheet metal, the car continues to utilise a traditional ladder frame, although it does get a host of modern off-road assistance features including Vehicle Stability Control, Active Traction Control, Hill Start Assist Control, and Downhill Assist Control.
Powering this 2,300kg vehicle is a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces a total of 210bhp and 500Nm of torque. This power is put to the road via a six-speed automatic transmission, as well as a part-time four-wheel drive system.
