Volkswagen has expanded its ID.7 range with the new ID.7 GTX.
The performance-oriented version of the all-electric ID.7 fastback is set to get a total output of 335bhp, allowing it to complete the century sprint in 5.4 seconds. All this will come courtesy of an 86kWh battery, which can be charged at up to 200kW, allowing a 10% to 80% top up to be completed within 26 minutes. WLTP range for the ID.7 GTX, meanwhile, stands at 595km.
You'll be able to spot this ID.7 GTX from other ID.7 models thanks to its unique head light design and use of 20-inch alloy wheels.
Also exclusive to this GTX variant of the ID.7 is the use of red contrast stitching on its seats (which get perforated 'GTX' lettering on their backrests), as well as the red top stitching on the multi-function steering wheel.
Standard equipment here includes a 30-colour ambient lighting system, and augmented reality head-up display, Volkswagen's IDA voice assistant with integrated ChatGPT, two-zone air-conditioning, as well as an anti-theft alarm system.
The ID.7 GTX fastback will sit alongside the ID.7 GTX Tourer, which was unveiled in March of 2024. The ID.7 GTX Tourer comes complete with a boot that can fit 605 litres of luggage (as opposed to the 532-litre capacity of the ID.7 fastback).
Also new from Volkswagen are the ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S. Both models make use of an 86kWh battery (as opposed to the 77kWh item that powers the rest of the lineup). This larger battery means the ID.7 Pro S posts a WLTP range of 690km, while the ID.7 Tourer Pro S posts a WLTP range of 709km. Both these models offer a total output of 282bhp.
