Volkswagen offers first look at new Transporter

Volkswagen has revealed a first teaser image of what is set to be a concept vehicle that offers a first preview of the seventh generation Volkswagen Transporter.
The new vehicle is said to measure between 5,050mm and 5,450mm long, and now adopts a silhouette similar to that found on the Multivan and the ID. Buzz.
Volkswagen states that the design of the new Transporter has been inspired by its past iterations. These include the use of a radiator grille designed after that found on the T5 and the use of head lights which take after those found in the T6.1.
A host of 16, 17, and 19-inch rims are also set to be available for the vehicle, and Volkswagen further reveals that the vehicle will house its fuel filler flap close to its B-pillar (for the diesel and plug-in hybrid variants), as was the case with the T6.1 and large Crafter. All-electric and plug-in hybrid variants of the new Transporter will hose their charging socket flap under one of the head lights.
At the rear, the new Volkswagen Transporter is set to get completely redesigned taillights, said to be a stylistic bridge to those on the T5. The vehicle will once again be available with a tailgate and rear wing doors.
Pre-sales of the new Transporter have already started in Europe and market launch is set to take place in the first quarter of 2025.
