Waiting list opens for upcoming Range Rover Electric

Range Rover has opened the waiting list for all who are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Range Rover Electric.
Based on the firm's flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture, the luxury flagship SUV is expected to deliver performance comparable to the V8, while continuing to offer the in-house developed all-terrain capability that has been a hallmark of the model since its inception in 1970.
Range Rover states that it is additionally currently conducting physical prototype testing of what is targeted to be its quietest and most refined Range Rover yet. On-road testing of the prototypes is being done in locations ranging from Sweden to Dubai, in temperatures ranging from -40 to 50 degrees Celsius, to ensure the robustness of the car's electric drive system as well as to guarantee the durability of its underfloor, the integrity of its chassis, and to test the dynamics of the vehicle itself.
All this comes after a of virtual development spanning front-end robustness, multi-body systems analysis that considers the demand on the chassis, and virtual wading at up to 50km/h.
The new Range Rover Electric will be designed, engineered, and built in Solihull, U.K. alongside the mild and plug-in hybrid Range Rover vehicles.
