Zenvo Automotive previews most powerful roadcar engine

Zenvo Automotive has previewed its new weapon: An engine said to the most powerful among all roadgoing cars in the world. 

Dubbed 'Mjolner', the powerplant produces up to 1,250bhp alone, which pushes up to 1,850bhp when incorporated with the electric hybrid system, and will be the most powerful V12 engine fitted into a production roadcar.

The bespoke 6.6-litre V12 engine is the crown jewel of the Aurora development program, which will be developed and built alongside its hybrid system at MAHLE Powertrain in Northampton, U.K.

Despite its high performance levels, this is a bespoke engine developed specifically for the road and will feature the MAHLE Jet Ignition system, which has been in development for over a decade. This engine - in V12 format - is the first implementation of this new modular architecture from Zenvo Automotive.

From here, this concept will continue to be developed and used in different layouts across future product lines and models within the Zenvo family.
