Land Rover Defender 90 Diesel (Parallel Imported)

Test drove one of the motoring beauty on 20th May. Aided by a pretty saleslady in my test drive, i was amazed by the experience.

Smooth and masculine....what a beauty..

Too bad it is far beyond what i can afford.

Extremely costly...

Even with a planned 30K cash down payment, with a 2.88% p.a and 7 yrs loan; i still need to fork out 1.6K in monthly installment. (The is excluding tax, insurance and diesel)...Guess i would need to ask for pay increment..

I presume it is going to remain as a dream machine as for the moment. Who knows...i may reunite with the love of my life in the future. (We separated when i was in army playing with the defenders there..)

takes some getting used to but it'll definitely be worth the time.

Very powerful and great pickup.

Very generous boot space and offers superior commanding position for the driver and passenger.

Masculine and hardy look and feel.

Ample loading space with an engine to match.

Definite head-turner, even more so with an exotic body spray to go with (i.e orange, white etc)

The gear and angle of view will take some time to get used to and the view from within is somewhat restricted.

I drove a one white defender the other day.

Firstly i must say it is very tall compared to other cars.

It has very very rugged and good looks.

It has very very powerful pulling power. Alot of G force backwards when step on throttle slightly more only.

Has uniquely two gearboxes - but i didnt know how to use it.

It was engaging to drive- felt very cool and know it is very nice.

Good head turning looks of exterior

Full of pulling power feel

Controls looks big and easy to see and has a good response if it is turned or pressed

Fuel consumption at 11km/l for a 2400cc off roader.

Can carry and load alot of things - A windsurfing board, alot of storage space in the interior both front and back.

Looks very rugged and has a "macho" feel.

No. 1 off roader in the whole world! Very common in SAF.

Abit of body roll when cornering thats all which is found in all high ride height offroaders.
