I have been considering an EV since the beginning of 2026 and has been skeptical on EV as I have been driving cars with combustion engine for the past 20years. However, looking at how EV has evolved, I came to a conclusion that moving towards EV is only a matter of time and its only whether sooner or later and I choose to act now. MG has never been in my list from the onset of EV shopping until I chanced upon a roadshow in one of Singapore's largest shopping mall and came across MGS6. It was Love at first sight and was even fell in love when I set foot into the driver's seat. Totally amazing and what's even more ridiculous is the space at the rear seats. I am 1.82m tall and I was surprise that I have a leg room of almost 2 fist length space from my knee with my sitting position already adjusted at the front seat. Fast forward to the driving experience of the MGS6 for almost a month now, I definitely would say this is a car of a total ultimate comfort that drives pliantly on roads with various condition yet it still behaves confidently stable on bends and corners very well. The ride comfort and Performance level I would say, is right between the BYD Sealion 7 and Tesla Model Y, very well balance. Although it is only 146Bhp, this car is definitely no slouch whenever you want it to move from a low to mid band power. The power is direct and instant from the 350Nm of torque whenever you summon it to rise. On the ADAS features, the MGS6 is equipped with level 2 semi self-drive capability that assist you in acceleration, braking, steer assist, lane keep, auto cruise control and blind spot assist. Together, these functions work in unison to aid you confidently to drive at ease on highway and as well as the other feature call the TJA(Traffic Jam Assist) during slow moving traffic in city drive where this feature aid in moving n stopping the car for you while keeping a safe distance with the car in front. This is definitely exceptional as this is my first EV I own. Finally on acoustic, I like how silent it is when you are driving in the carpark and as well at low speed below 70km/h. Even at 100km/h you will only hear just a wee bit of exterior sound. The scale of sound intrusion in highway from 1(lowest) to 10(highest), I will rate it at only 3 to 3.5. Really enjoying our 7-seater Kia Carnival so far! The drive is smooth with good power, and the interior is spacious, comfortable and packed with modern features. There's plenty of legroom for everyone, and what I really like is that there's still generous boot space even with all 3 rows of seats up! The auto-retractable side steps are also a great addition, making it much easier to get in and out of the car, especially for the elderly and young children. Still getting used to parking though, as the car is quite long and wide! 😅 Would have been even better if it came with a digital rear-view mirror. Special thanks to Dominic for his excellent service! He's friendly, patient and very knowledgeable about the car. Always happy to answer our questions and explain things clearly. He made the whole buying experience smooth and pleasant.
