On 4th September, Silverstone Auctions will offer a dream lineup of rare cars at the Salon Prive sale, the most prestigious sale of the year. They have announced that five incredible low-mileage models from the collection of one meticulous collector will open the sale.
Amongst the collection is a 1986 Porsche 911 Supersport that, with just 743km on the clock, is in as near factory fresh condition as one can possibly expect. It is astonishing that this almost 30-year old car has ammassed just 743km on the odometer, and Silverstones Auctions is offering a rare opportunity to own an impeccably well-mantained and practically brand new classic Porsche.
Also under the hammer are three Mercedes-Benz models: a 1975 280SLC, a 1985 280SE and a 1986 560SEC.
The rare manual 280SLC has just 16,500km on the clock, boasting an immaculate red leather interior and unmarked white paintwork. The 280SE covered just 5,700km of tarmac in its lifetime, making it an incredibly rare immaculate example of a car that was incredibly popular in the 1980s. The 560SEC was also an icon of the 1980s, with its stylish and luxurious design. The car has covered just 38,000km.
The last car in the collection is a 1988 Daimler Double Six Series III, withj ust 3,297km on the clock. An altogether different prospect, standout highlights of the car include an individual specification Nardi steering wheel, a full repsray Metallic Blue paintjob, and chrome wire wheels.
