BMW has unveiled the newest member of the M Series product family, with the coveted M badge finding its way onto the popular 2 Series in the form of the all new BMW M2.

As standard, the car comes with a six-speed manual gearbox (M Double Clutch Transmission is optional). The M2 also gets buffed up with M components such as an active rear differential and lightened suspension components, as well as Nurburgring tested M compound high-performance brakes.
Visually, the M2 features a menacing front end, with larger intakes to feed the extra engine radiator. There is also a diffuser in the rear tray, and incorporated head lights that telegraph the extra rear width. The car is also fitted with a host of M-specific equipment details to reflect its prominent dynamic capabilities.
The sports seats, in black Dakota leather with blue contrast stitching and an M logo in the backrests, have adjustable side bolsters to give the driver and front passenger optimum support through fast corners. An M footrest and knee pad on the centre console for the driver continue the theme. It is also available in four exterior paint finishes: Long Beach Blue metallic, Alpine White, Black Sapphire metallic and Mineral Grey metallic.
