Singapore winners compete at the Audi quattro Cup World Final 2016 in Barcelona

The Singapore leg of the world's largest amateur golf tournament, Audi quattro Cup 2016, was held at Tanah Merah Country Club on August 12th. Audi offered more than one million in prizes including a Breitling watch, two Audi TT Coupes, and two Audi Q7s as 'Hole-in-One' prizes. Eddy Quek and Sherman Chang were announced the winners and received their prizes from Anna Bory, General Manager, Marketing, Audi Singapore. The winners will be representing Singapore at the Audi quattro Cup World Final, which will be held in Barcelona, from the 6th to 10th of October 2016.


"Winning Audi quattro Cup 2016 has changed my perspective on how I intend to play golf in the future. I am excited to be able to represent Singapore later this year," said Sherman Chang.
"The game gave me the rare opportunity to step in the shoes of a professional golfer and I had a wonderful time. A big thanks to Audi for organising a fun and well-planned event," said Eddy Quek.
"Audi quattro Cup is all about fun and friendly competition and today was the epitome of that. This tournament brought myAudiworld members together, bonding over entertaining games, good food and great golf. I wish the winners all the best as they represent us at the Audi quattro Cup World Finals," said Audi Ambassador and Singapore Pro-Golfer, Quincy Quek.
The day's activities also consisted of novelty games like 'Nearest to Pin', 'Longest Drive', and 'Nearest to Line', as well as 'On the Green Challenge', and 'The Audi Four-Ring Challenge'. Participants also got the chance to look at the new Audi R8.
Eddy Quek and Sherman Chang will go head-to-head with the winners of all 55 national Audi quattro Cup qualifications at the Real Club de Golf El Prat for the world final. This tournament course for the World Final 2016 has hosted the Spanish Open 10 times and has won the most awards in Europe. Located in a bucolic setting on the edge of the Sant Llorenc del Munt nature park, the 45-hole facility provides a great golfing experience for players of all levels.
Since 1991, over 1.4 million golfers worldwide have competed in the Audi quattro Cup. The 2016 season comprises of over 800 tournaments across 55 countries and includes over 100,000 participants. The Singapore leg of the tournament has become a regular event in the local amateur golfing scene since its inception in 2008.

Quek and Chang clinched the winning title with a score of 50, ahead of 148 other Audi customers and golf enthusiasts, during the 18-hole competition at Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden course.
