Pre-production models of the Mercedes SL Roadster undergo road tests

Pre-production models of the next generation of the legendary SL Roadster are currently undergoing a scheduled phase of wide-ranging dynamic driving tests.

The tests are being conducted around the Mercedes-Benz group's own Test and Technology Centre in Immendingen, Germany, as well as on public roads in Germany.

Mercedes-AMG, as the performance and sports car brand of Mercedes-Benz AG, has taken on the task of overall vehicle development for the reinterpretation of the legendary roadster. Mercedes-Benz states that the new SL Roadster will be a return back to its roots, which lay in motorsport back in 1952.
