The Aznom Palladium, a Italian hyper-limousine, is without a doubt a large vehicle and that is certainly the most eye-catching feature when looking at the car. But the Palladium is also noteworthy from a technical stand point, particularly considering the numerous innovations and customisations designed and implemented in it.
In order to guarantee the best performance for such a large vehicle, both on city streets and in off-road conditions, two turbochargers are fitted to the 5.7-litre V8 engine combined with a redesigned exhaust system, with two air-to-water intercoolers to ensure temperatures stay low.
Forged pistons and strengthened steel H-beam rods are also new, and the valve springs have been also been reinforced. The camshaft and driveshaft are accurately rebalanced, ensuring for smooth operation.
These enhancements allow the engine to produce 700bhp, accelerating the Palladium from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, and onwards to a limited top speed of 210km/h. Despite all its power, under light load the engine can run on just four cylinders to allow for more efficient and fuel saving operation.
The Palladium's body has also been reinforced to handle the power, with a supplemental steel cage installed in the rear to improved torsional stiffness, and a specially tuned suspension system that allows for a comfortable ride but yet is capable of providing control to the Palladium at high speeds.
To top it all off, the Palladium is fitted with sizeable brakes, with front disc brakes measuring 408mm and rear brakes measuring 380mm, complimented with six piston calipers in front and four piston calipers in the rear.
